Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, pursuant to the Answer of 27 June 2017 to Question 128, if her Department supports (a) the expansion of existing grammar schools and (b) the opening of satellite sites of existing grammar schools.

The Government has made clear its commitment to continue to support all good and outstanding schools to expand where there is a need for more good school places. Any proposals to expand onto a satellite site would need to demonstrate that they are an expansion of an existing school, and a decision would be made on the circumstances of each case.
