Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what the average time taken to process a standard application for a driving licence was in each year for which figures are available.
This question was answered on 8th September 2014
Since 2010, the average time taken each year to process a standard driving licence application is five working days. This includes the time taken for the driving licence to be delivered to the customer.
