Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will discuss with the Civil Aviation Authority the lessons to be learned following the loss of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.

The Department for Transport and the Civil Aviation Authority are already working closely together in considering the impact and lessons learned from flight MH17. The UK Government is also playing an active role in the taskforce set up by the International Civil Aviation Organization to consider the international management of overflight risks in conflict zones.
