Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, whether she has had discussions with the European Commission on technological failures within the EU EES system disrupting travel to and from the EU Schengen zone.

The Government has been in frequent contact with both the European Commission and Member States throughout the rollout of EES to ensure that implementation minimises disruption for passengers while maintaining border security objectives. The Government will continue to raise this with the European Commission.
