The National Security Adviser is the Head of the National Security Secretariat within the Cabinet Office, which supports the National Security Council and the Prime Minister in the full range of national security issues across Government, including cyber security, and ensures that departmental work is effectively co-ordinated. The Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance sits within the National Security Secretariat and has responsibility for coordinating work to achieve the aims of the UK Cyber Security Strategy and oversees the National Cyber Security Programme.
