Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how much the NHS spent on specialist assessment and diagnostic services for deaf British Sign Language users with dementia in each year since 2010.

Data on how much the National Health Service has spent on specialist assessment and diagnosis services for deaf people including British sign language users with dementia is not available. However the NHS is advised that it is good clinical practice to take into account a person’s general health, including their hearing, when people are investigated and treated for dementia.
