Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will urgently introduce regional parity of financial support for victims of the infected blood scandal.

Policy on financial support for people infected by HIV and/or hepatitis C after treatment with blood, tissue or blood products from the National Health Service is a devolved matter.

An Infected Blood Payment Scheme for Northern Ireland was established in November 2017. Information on the Department of Health in Northern Ireland’s scheme is available at the following link:
