Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the Civil Service Commission document entitled Submission Form – Exception 10 – Conversion to Permanency Request, updated on 24 March 2026, how many applications have been (a) submitted and (b) approved in 2026 for which the latest data is available.

Between 1 January and 5 October 2026 the Cabinet Office did not submit any applications to the Civil Service Commission to approve the process of Exception 10: Conversion to permanency of suitable candidates appointed under Exception 1. Also, no applications were approved by the Commission within this period.
