Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, on how many death certificates HIV has been mentioned in each year since 1985.

The following table summarises the number newly diagnosed with HIV, the number of deaths occurring among people with HIV, the number of people accessing HIV care (i.e. diagnosed prevalent HIV infections) in the UK from 1985-2012, and the number of death certificates that specifically mention ‘HIV’, ‘Human Immunodeficiency Virus’, ‘AIDS’ or ‘Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome’.
