NHS Property Services currently manages around 10% of the National Health Service estate and while it has undertaken work to confirm construction types of buildings within its portfolio it was never the intention to produce a consolidated report for publication. The construction information collected was for NHS Property Services to better understand its buildings and manage any risks identified.

Following the Grenfell tragedy in June 2017, NHS Improvement, acting on guidelines from the Cabinet Office and the Department for Communities and Local Government, instructed NHS Property Services to review its estate to identify buildings which may be at greater risk of fire due to the use of Aluminium Composite Materials specifically as cladding. NHS Property Services conducted a review of all premises in its portfolio using the guidelines and can confirm that no owned NHS Property Services buildings have aluminium cladding materials installed.
