Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many incidents of norovirus there were in the last six months.

In the period April 2014 to September 2014 the Public Health England Centre for Infectious Disease Surveillance and Control (CIDSC) received reports of 87 laboratory confirmed outbreaks of norovirus infection in hospitals in England.
In addition, seven laboratory confirmed outbreaks of foodborne norovirus infection were reported to CIDSC from health protection teams in England during the same period.
