Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what discussions he has had with his Russian counterpart on Islamic extremism since the beginning of 2014.

The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my right hon. Friend the member for Runneymede (Mr Hammond) and the Russian Foreign Minister both attended the International Conference in Paris in September to address the threat of the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL). At the Conference, all attendees agreed there was a need to address the threat of ISIL with a coordinated international effort.
