Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what steps he or his officials have taken to request an update on the whereabouts and wellbeing of the group of 28 Christians who were arrested by Saudi Arabian police at a house prayer meeting at the start of September 2014.

We are aware of the arrest of the Christians in the city of Khafji in September. We understand that they were released the following day. The British Government strongly supports the right to freedom of religion or belief, which is restricted in Saudi Arabia.
