Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what the cost of compulsory redundancy payments for staff in NHS England was for each year from 2009-10 to 2013-14.

The NHS England Commissioning Board, known as NHS England, came into being on 1 October 2012 and took on its full responsibilities on 1 April 2013.

Information on compulsory redundancies made during 2013-14 is available as part of NHS England’s 2013-14 Annual Report, which is available on NHS England’s website at:

The Annual Report notes that no compulsory redundancies were made between 1 October 2012 and 31 March 2013.
