Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how much was spent on campaigns intended to raise public awareness of osteoporosis and its symptoms in each of the last five years.

In the last five years there has been no budget allocated for specific osteoporosis national campaigns.

Since April 2013 Public Health England’s marketing campaign investment approach has been to allocate budget against activity which has the greatest scope to deliver the key public health outcomes. This is based on lifestage rather than disease specific approach.
