Question to the Home Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to her written statement of 26 June 2014, Official Report, column 35W, on potential miscarriages of justice, whether Mark Ellison QC will be given access to the confidential annex drawn up by the Criminal Cases Review Commission on the reasons for which it referred the conviction of John Jordan for assaulting a police officer to the Crown Court.
This question was answered on 6th November 2014
The Home Secretary made clear in her statement to the House on 6 March that "Mark Ellison and the CPS will be provided with whatever access they judge necessary to relevant documentary evidence".
