Question to the Home Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how many people have been prosecuted in relation to illegal immigration in (a) 2015, (b) 2016, (c) 2017 and (d) 2018.

Information on defendants proceeded against for offences under Immigration Acts 1971 to 2009 in England and Wales is available in table pr_01 within the detention tables in the latest release of ‘Immigration Statistics, year ending September 2018’, available from the Home Office website at:

Information for 2018 will be available in August 2019.
