At the present time, Ascension Island Government (AIG) assesses that there is a low risk of Chikungunya disease being introduced to Ascension Island from the Caribbean. AIG continues to monitor the situation, with the United States Air Force Base on Ascension, and will keep its precautionary measures under review.
