Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Minister of State, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, what estimate his Department has made of the number of civilian casualties as a result of the conflict between Sudan’s Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces around Jebel Aulia in southern Khartoum in the last week.

The United Nations estimate that up to 9,000 people have been killed in the conflict in Sudan since April. We do not have verified data on the number of civilian casualties as a result of the conflicts around Jebel Aulia or El Fasher specifically.
