Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, how many mothers have had babies aged under three months placed into foster care; and how many babies aged under three months have been placed into foster care in that time in each of the last five years.
The number of babies aged under three months who have been placed into foster care in each of the last five years is shown in the table below:

The Department for Education does not collect information on mothers of children therefore we are unable to estimate the number of mothers who had babies placed into foster care.
