To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, how many staff in his Department are working on electricity market reform; and how many such staff are chartered engineers.

There are currently 85 (full time equivalent) civil servants working in the Electricity Market Reform directorate.

The Department of Energy and Climate Change does not record centrally whether any of our employees are Chartered Engineers and we are therefore unable to answer this question without incurring disproportionate costs.
