Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, what nominations he has received for assets of community value under the Localism Act 2011.

Communities which wish to nominate an asset of community value send their nomination to the relevant local authority in England in which the asset is located, not to Central Government. More information about how communities can nominate an asset can be found at www.mycommunityrights.org.uk.


Notwithstanding, we estimate that over 1,500 community assets have so far been listed.
