To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many high-quality defence jobs there are in the UK.

In 2024-25, the Ministry of Defence expenditure with UK industry supported an estimated 274,000 direct and indirect jobs across the UK, comprising 164,000 direct jobs and 110,000 indirect jobs.
Defence supports skilled employment across a broad range of sectors and regions, helping to drive economic growth and prosperity across the UK.
