Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 50 of his department's Strategic Defence Review, published 2 June 2025, what is the outcome of the Ministry of Defence report, due in July 2026, to the Secretary of State on the assurance of critical data flow, with a plan for scaling up dissemination and exploitation of data in warfare and across Defence.

The report has been developed and establishes agreed definitions of Critical Data and Critical Data Flows for warfighting, set out the current state of assurance for critical data flows, and identified key issues affecting the dissemination, management and exploitation of data across Defence.

Work is underway to develop and implement a plan to address the report's recommendations and to scale the dissemination and exploitation of critical data across Defence.
