Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 65 of the Strategic Defence Review 2025, what assessment he has made of whether his Department is on target to reduce civil service costs by at least 10% by 2030.

The MOD remains committed to reducing Civil Service costs by at least 10% by 2030. Work is underway on a Long-Term Workforce Plan. This will cover both the requirements, size and structure of the Defence workforce, with a view to driving efficiency whilst making the most of AI and technology.
