Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 110 of his Department’s Strategic Defence Review, published 2 June 2025, what progress he has made on seeking collaboration with NATO Allies on the acquisition of key land platforms.

The Ministry of Defence is strengthening collaboration with NATO Allies and close partners to deliver priority capabilities more affordably, improve interoperability, and support the European defence industrial base. Since the publication of the Strategic Defence Review, progress includes the development of the STRATUS long-range strike missile with France, cooperation with Germany on a new deep precision strike capability, and defence partnerships with Norway and Poland. The UK has also signed a £4.6 billion contract for the Global Combat Air Programme with Italy and Japan. Further progress includes collaboration on land platforms, joint procurement, common standards, interoperability, and cooperation on defence research and development with Allies.
