Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 111 of his Department's Strategic Defence Review, published 2 June 2025, what the timeline is for the integration of the Royal Marines Commando Force into the Strategic Reserves Corps.

UK Commando Forces are trained to disrupt hostile surveillance, secure access routes, identify vulnerabilities, and create the conditions for wider UK forces to act. They are designed to operate with other alongside elements of the Integrated Force including the Army’s Strategic Reserve Corps when appropriate. The Commando Force is constantly evolving, with over £500 million committed for its continued transformation as part of the Defence Investment Plan.
