Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, pursuant to his oral contribution of 27 June 2017, Official Report, column 459, if he will place in the Library a copy of the procurement guidelines referred to.

The Government publishes its procurement guidance on the Gov.UK website. In particular the ‘Procurement Policy Note 09/16 sets out a balanced scorecard approach which enables procurers to balance straightforward matters such as cost against more complex issues such as social and wider economic considerations.
