As at 1 November 2014 50% of Coastguards employed at the National Maritime Operations Centre (NMOC) in Fareham have currently (a) received the amount of training and (b) attained the level of qualification that will be required in order to carry out their duties when the centre takes on its full operational responsibilities in December 2015.

The Maritime and Coastguard Agency anticipates all staff currently employed at the NMOC to have received the training and qualifications required to carry such duties by December 2015.

All Coastguards currently undertaking watch keeping duties at the NMOC have received the amount of training and level of qualification required for the duties they are currently required to undertake at this point in the transition programme.
