Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what elements of vaccine damage policy are the responsibility of (a) his Department and (b) other government departments.

Since 1 May 2014, the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) is now a joint responsibility of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department of Health (DH).
DH Ministers are responsible for the policy intent and legislation relating to the VDPS. DWP Ministers are responsible for the operation and administration of vaccine damage claims, payments and decision disputes including appeals.
