Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 11 of his department’s Defence Industrial Strategy, published 8 September 2025, what progress has been made on amending the MOD procurement framework.

Since the publication of the Defence Industrial Strategy the Department continues to make progress in reforming Defence procurement, introducing initiatives that look to speed up procurements like our segmented approach to procurement, together with embedding the changes introduced via the legislative framework of the Procurement Act 2023. The Department continues strive for ways to improve defence procurement to ensure the most efficient procurement is undertaken that strengthens military capability and drive economic growth.
