Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will estimate the number of qualified nurses of working age who are no longer working as nurses in the NHS.

No estimate has been made of the number of qualified nurses of working age who are no longer working as nurses in the National Health Service.

There are more nurses, midwives and health visitors working in the NHS than in May 2010.
