Question to the Ministry of Defence:

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what progress has been made on targeted regulatory sprints in priority growth sub-sectors and emerging technologies.

This Government is committed to creating a more permissive and pro-growth regulatory environment that supports defence capability, innovation and industrial growth. As set out in the Defence Industrial Strategy, the Ministry of Defence has completed a targeted regulatory sprint on autonomous systems.

The next phase will focus on supporting the development of the Regulating for Growth Bill, which will help to reduce barriers to working in the defence sector.
