Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what the benefit cost ratios are of each of the major road projects proposed in the Autumn Statement.

I refer my Rt. Hon. Friend to the answer I gave on 15^th October 2014, to Question 208956 when I outlined a number of Benefit Cost Ratios (BCRs) for some schemes that will be under construction during the period 2015/16 – 2020/21.

Finalised BCRs are not yet available for the schemes announced through the publication of the Road Investment Strategy. As is standard practice, further appraisal of all schemes will be carried out as the proposals progress through the final business case process.
