Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how many and what proportion of (a) him Department's staff and (b) staff working for companies contracted by his Department who are paid less than the Living Wage are (i) white British and (ii) from an ethnic minority background.
This question was answered on 15th December 2014
No civil servants employed by the Department earn less than the Living Wage.
The Department does not routinely collect information on the salaries of employees working for its contracted companies.
The Department does not hold information about the diversity details of employees of companies contracted by the Department.
