Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if the Government will support the proposal being considered by the EU Council on the safer HGV cab design to improve safety for cyclists.

The Government is fully committed to road safety for all road users. We therefore support the main aims of the proposed revision to directive 96/53/EC to enable extra length for improved aerodynamic and safer HGV cab design.
