Question to the HM Treasury:

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, what the value was of in-work tax credits claimed in the (a) UK and (b) Vale of Clwyd in each year since 2008.

The total value of in-work Tax Credit entitlement for the UK population over the past five tax years can be found in the publication https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/384915/cwtc_awards_revised.xls.

The total values of in-work Tax Credits for the Vale of Clwyd constituency have been calculated using figures in the National Statistics Publications ‘Personal tax credits: Finalised award statistics - geographical statistics’ which can be found at www.gov.uk.

These figures have been provided in the table below.
