Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent steps her Department has taken to increase funding for cancer research.

I refer the Hon Member to the National Cancer Plan for England, published in February, which sets out the steps we are taking in a range of areas to improve cancer diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes, including for research and clinical trials.
