Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, how many homes have been retrofitted to reduce energy use in the last 10 years.

Since April 2008, 5.8 million properties have received loft insulation, 3.1 million properties have received cavity wall insulation and 229,000 properties have received solid wall insulation through Government schemes. Figures prior to April 2008 are not held centrally.

Updated figures covering retrofit installations up to end March 2015 will be published on 18 June 2015 at 9:30am.
