Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether she has considered the potential merits of amending the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to enable multiple events to be included within a single temporary traffic regulation order for special events.

Under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, multiple events can be included within a single temporary traffic regulation order.

The Government has set out its intention to publish a White Paper which will consider further devolution of decision-making powers and functions in due course.
