Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, if he will commission research on the potential for cost savings and reductions in hospital admissions from improved diagnosis and management of anaemia.
This question was answered on 15th December 2014
The Department has no plans to commission research on this specific topic.
The Department’s National Institute for Health Research funds a wide range of research relating to the diagnosis and management of different types of anaemia.
