Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, how his Department plans to ensure a co-ordinated and effective approach to testing, treating and curing people with hepatitis C infection.

Public Health England and NHS England are developing an implementation framework for hepatitis C improvement, for the period 2015-2030. The plan will set high level aims for the public health system towards elimination of hepatitis C related liver disease as a public health concern, with specific, measurable, time bound objectives that feed into this overarching ambition. The Department will support Public Health England and NHS England in delivering the framework.
