Question to the Department for Education:

To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what steps she is taking to enable schools to run on solar power; and if she will make a statement.

This Government is committed to helping schools become greener and more energy efficient. That is why we have supported the launch of the Department of Energy and Climate Change’s (DECC) solar photovoltaic strategy for schools and will continue to work with DECC to promote further their strategy across the schools sector.
