Question to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs:
To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what steps she plans to take in response to Resolution 11.15 on the use of lead shot adopted by the 11th meeting of the Congress of Parties to the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals.
This question was answered on 5th January 2015
Defra has no current plans to extend the existing restrictions on the use of lead shot in England as this would be premature pending the report of the Lead Ammunition Group.
