Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how much and what proportion of annual expenditure on housing benefit is allocated to the costs of administering that benefit.

DWP has contributed £304m to the costs of local authorities administering Housing Benefit for 2015/16. The amount allocated to local authorities for more financial years can be found in the link below.
