Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many Merchant Navy officer cadets (a) began and (b) completed training in each of the last 15 years for which figures are available.

Figures held by the Department relate to cadets whose training was supported through the Support for Maritime Training (SMarT) scheme, and are as follows:
