Question to the Cabinet Office:

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, what guidance his Department issues on the circumstances under which Departments should seek legal advice from the Attorney General; if he will publish that guidance; and if he will make a statement.

Guidance on the circumstances under which departments can seek legal advice from the Law Officers including the Attorney General can be found in publicly available documents including the Ministerial Code and the Cabinet Manual.
