Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what recent discussions he has had with the Royal Colleges and the Asthma UK Centre for Applied Research about appropriate dosages for treatment of asthma.

We have had no such discussions.

Prescribing decisions are a matter for clinicians based on their patients’ individual clinical needs and taking relevant advice from sources such as the British National Formulary, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, specialty association publications and any local prescribing policies.
