Question to the Department for Education:
To ask the Secretary of State for Education, what the difference is in (a) attainment levels and (b) classroom behaviour in a child who has conduct disorder and has (i) been treated and (ii) not been treated for that disorder.
The Department for Education does not collect or hold information on whether a child has a ‘conduct disorder’ or whether the disorder has been treated or not.
However, information on the attainment of pupils by ‘type of need’ including pupils with ‘behaviour, emotional and social difficulties’ at the end of key stage 2 is published in table 9a of the ‘National curriculum assessments at key stage 2, 2014 (revised)’[1] Statistical First Release.
For key stage 4 the same information is published in table 1 of the Statistical Release ‘GCSE and equivalent attainment by pupil characteristics, 2012/13’.[2]
