Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what the annual rental cost of the new NHS Property Services Limited headquarters in London is.

The total annual rental cost of the new NHS Property Services (NHSPS) offices for London-based staff is £1.37 million excluding VAT, based on a five year lease period; and the total associated costs, including rates, landlord service charges, and facilities management costs, are estimated to be an additional £1.08 million annually.

Gresham Street was the lowest cost of the accommodation options available to NHSPS in London that can accommodate the amount of staff needed. The Company explored the available Government estate, but no premises were large enough or available at the right time.
